The people of BC have spoken and after the results of the province wide referendum the BC Government will have to drop the unpopular tax and revert to the combination of the old Provincial Sales Tax and Federal Goods & Services Tax.
Most BC voters saw the HST as a transference of Tax from business to individuals and when many popular items, such as restaurant meals, services and bicycles, that were free of the PST, had the full 12% HST added on to the bill the demand for these items dropped dramatically.
TacoTime Victoria is one amongst many restaurants in the BC marketplace that are cheering the departure (which can't come soon enough !) of the HST
